9th STEP : FERTILIZING PLANTS CORRECTLY
It is important to add sera florena after the first 2 weeks in order to replenish the nutrients that have been consumed by the plants. To further encourage vigorous growth we recommend after the first 4 weeks that the roots are fertilized with sera florenette A tablets. After this first dose we recommend that you alternate every 3 weeks between sera florena and sera florenette A. Each new dose should take place after a %15 water change has been carried out. 8th STEP : ADDING THE FISH
Now the aquarium water is ready to start developing the helpful bacteria. These bacteria will establish themselves in both the gravel as well as in the filter. The process can be accelerated by adding sera nitrivec. Sera nitrivec is a special mixture of helpful bacteria. These bacteris ensure that a fully functioning nitrogen cycle develops in a short period of time. By doing this you can add fish as quickly as the next day. The fish are taken home from the store in a warm package. The fish bag should be opened and allowed to float in the water for 20 minutes. Every few minutes some of the aquarium water should be added to the bag. This will allow the water parameters to adjust slowly. After an additional 20 minutes the fish can be caught by a net and placed in the aquarium. The remaining water in the bag should be descarded and not dumped in the aquarium. Now the water is treated with sera nitrivec for 10 sraight days. This will allow the filter to become fully active and effectively break down the fish waste.

7th STEP : ADDING LIVE PLANTS
A dense supply of live plants right from the start is important if you want to avoid algae. Your local aquarium should have a large selection of live plants for you to choose from. Once you have made selections remove the bundled plants from their container and trim the roots to about 1 to 2 cm. Next, place the plants in the gravel while protecting the roots with your fingers. Afterwards, gently pull the plant upwards just slightly so that the roots are pointing downwards. This will ensure that the plant's roots can develop quickly. Stem plants should be cut off just above the plastic foam and then placed separately into the substrate. Once you are satisfied with your planting you can then finish filling the aquarium and install the lights.

Every aquarium requires mechanical and biological filtration of the water. The sera internal biological filter is easy to install in either a new or existing aquarium. This filter provides a much greater volume than most external filters. This step is to attach the mounting braket to a well-cleaned side of the aquarium.
The filter can then be set in place the following day. Even the smallest model of the sera internal biofilters B has a volume of 9 liters. This is several times greater than most external filters. The biofilter has 4 chambers - one for the heater, one for the water pump and the final 2 for filter media.

Decorative bogwood and stones are readily available from your local aquarium shop. Swamp oak, Swamp pine and Mopani wood roots are all ideal because they do not rot in the aquarium and they do not release any harmful substances. It is important to note that these decorative woods should always be thoroughly rinsed in hot water before being placed in the aquarium. The best approach is the soak the wood in water for a full 24 hours.
Afterwards you are ready to decorate your aquarium. A sera heater maintains the appropriate heat. The temperature is easily monitored by simply viewing the sera thermometer.

The first step is to place the sera floredepot in the aquarium. This product is a long-term plant fertilizer, for use under the gravel. It provides the plants with a soft bedding and an ongoing supply of trace elements, necessary salts and minerals. Sera floredepot is placed only where you want the plants to take root.
The next step is to cover sera floredepot with washed gravel. This should result in a bedding approximately 8 cm deep.
